Meeting Dates

The group meets once every month, usually on the third Sunday, in St. Mary's Church Hall in Church Road, Maulden, Beds, MK45 2AU (see link to map at bottom of this page). We meet from 2.00 pm until 6.00 pm and have a break midway for tea, coffee and cakes. For those travelling long distances (some travel more than 100 miles each way!), we meet for lunch in 'The Flying Horse' Public House, Clophill or 'The White Hart', Maulden and ask to be included on The Chiltinas table. We usually have a group Bar-B-Q once a year, where members are encouraged to show-off their 'other' musical talents,during and after the feast. We also give an annual Carol concert for the residents of a nursing home in Ampthill. We occasionally hold concertina workshops where well-known expert 'squeezers' come along to show us how it should be done. For example, in the past we have had Robert Harbron, Pam Bishop, Dave Cornell, Francis Wilkins, Pauline de Snoo, Harry Scurfield, Brian Peters, Roy Clinging - to name but a few!
